Pete and Keren share their experience at YCF.

What were you doing for fitness before Yucaipa CrossFit?

We've been members of a local gym for years but our workouts had become very sporadic in that it was hard to get motivated to go do the same old workout everyday.
 

What brought you to Yucaipa CrossFit?

My brother started Doing CrossFit and we couldn't believe the changes in him & I really wanted to give it a try but still hadn't convinced Pete. When we found out about Yucaipa CrossFit we decided to give it a try. After a couple of weeks we were hooked and ready to commit.
 

Tell us about your experience at YCF?

Within a few weeks time we started to notice changes. We both lost overall inches and now fit in sizes we haven't worn in years! I can truly say that I am in better shape than I have ever been and have so much more energy. We both are so much stronger and healthier and the lifestyle change has been so positive for us.
 

What is your favorite YCF memory?

Working out as a couple has been the best part because it motivates us to keep at it.  I feel this is the main reason we have been so successful at CrossFit is because neither one of us is going to let the other one slack.

What is your biggest area of improvement?

Our overall strength & cardiovascular. I couldn't even do a regular push-up before and not only can I do them but can do handstands as well!
 

What is your next goal?

My goal is to be able to do a pull-up without a band! Pete's is to learn how to do Kipping pull-ups.
 

What is your favorite WOD/movement?

We REALLY liked the 12 days of Christmas WOD in that we felt like we had actually accomplished a workout with very few modifications!
 

What movements/WODs are your least favorite?

I HATE wall balls and thrusters & Pete is not a fan of Kettlebells! :)
 

Anything else you would like to share?

We like the different variation of the WODs. Because it changes daily, it keeps us engaged & motivated. We have come to really enjoy our 5am workout group and the way everyone encourages each other to keep going!
